1. Judas Iscariot
The
story of Judas is known to everyone: the former was originally one of
the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ , Judas was in charge of all of them
shared the money and perhaps a lover of money . In
the writings of St. John Chrysostom is mention of the fact that Judas
along with the other apostles performed miracles : raising the dead ,
healing the sick , but later "lost kingdom of heaven ," the Lord hath
delivered .
In the Bible, there is some information about the childhood of Judas , his parents abandoned the child in the sea at Redeemer Cathedral , as it was revealed to the dream that her son would be their undoing . And so it was , Judah , like the ancient Greek Oedipus , after many years, returned to his native city , killed his father and entered into an incestuous relationship with his mother. After repentance and penance Lord has forgiven the sins of Judah , and he became one of the 12 apostles of Christ.
Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver - that's the same amount it received from the chief priests . After Jesus was sentenced to death by crucifixion , Judas repented of his actions and tried to return the coins back , but the priests told him that his remorse to them do not care . Then Judas threw the coins in the temple and killed himself - had hanged himself . Fun fact : it is believed that the tree on which Judas hanged himself , was aspen, and that's because in many works of fiction vampire can stop stabbing him in the heart of it is a wooden stake .
You can not say with certainty whether there was in fact Judas . However, the same can not be said about the rest of the apostles , and of all the people in the Bible . However, in 1978, was found in Egypt so-called "Gospel of Judas" , supposedly written by him. It Judas Iscariot is presented as the only disciple of Christ , to whom he opened the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven . Nevertheless , the Christian church does not recognize the genuine document , and in the list of the canonical gospels , he is not included.
